The Let’s Talk Programme: Origins, Development and Future Directions (2018)

Effective strategies for HIV prevention among adolescent orphans and vulnerable children in South Africa, particularly girls and young women, are critically needed. To date, adolescent-only interventions have underpinned prevention efforts with mixed success. Let’s Talk is a structured adolescent HIV prevention intervention that goes beyond standard programming to address family dynamics and mental health. This article describes its basis and beginnings.
